Welcome to the Lee Kum Kee X AsiaFest Extreme Eating Contest!

 

We are excited to have you participate in this fun and thrilling event. Please read the following instructions carefully to ensure a fair and enjoyable competition for everyone.

 

1. Eligibility:

• Must be aged 18 or above

• Must sign a waiver form and present a valid government-issued Photo ID to our staff for Identification on the day of the event

 

2. Registration:

• Register at AsiaFestYEG.ca

• Entry to the contest is on a first-come, first-served basis

 

3. Contest:

First Round – Friday, September 12, 2025, 7:00 PM

• The contest duration is 5 minutes

• Eat one plate of 10 dumplings at a time, up to a maximum of 3 plates (30 dumplings)

• Only water is allowed (provided)

• Top 5 contestants with the fastest time or fewest dumplings remaining move on to the final

 

Final Round – Saturday, September 13, 2025, 7:00 PM

• The contest duration is 5 minutes

• 50 dumplings served at once

• Only water is allowed (provided)

• Top 3 contestants (fastest finish or fewest dumplings left) will be declared winners

 

4. Rules:

• Contestants must not interfere with others

• Any form of cheating or disruptive behavior will result in disqualification

 

5. Health and Safety:

• Eat responsibly and know your limits

• Medical personnel will be on standby in case of emergencies

• Inform staff immediately if you feel unwell

 

6. Judging and Decisions:

• Judges’ decisions are final

• Judges will be responsible for counting the number of dumplings consumed and ensuring all rules are followed

 

7. Prizes:

• 1st Place: Trophy, belt, and prize pack from Lee Kum Kee (value $150)

• 2nd & 3rd Place: Trophy and assorted Lee Kum Kee sauces (value $80)

• Top 5 Finalist: Special prize

• All participants: AsiaFest 2025 T-shirt + souvenir set (value $50+).

• Total prize pool valued at over $200!
