Echo Ensemble （爱歌乐团） is a semi-professional music ensemble made up of some of Edmonton's best Chinese traditional instrumentalists. It began as a group of friends who share a passion in playing music together while promoting the art of Chinese cultural music to the local community.

About the Event
Echo Ensemble is a semi-professional music ensemble made up of some of Edmonton's best Chinese traditional instrumentalists. It began as a group of friends who share a passion in playing music together while promoting the art of Chinese cultural music to the local community. They have performed at various celebrations and cultural events around the city. They specialize in playing Chinese folk music of a variety of styles, as well as fusion and contemporary music. Some of their pieces are influenced by their hobbies and interests in video games, anime and movie soundtracks. Many of these covers are arranged by the members themselves, experimenting with the unique tone colours of Chinese instruments, such as the yangqin, dizi, erhu, and zhongruan.
